The latest rules in force Published on September 29, 2020 by the Directorate of Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister) its simple. It is quite legal to transform your bike into an electric bike under certain conditions:<\/p>\n

The motor is operated solely by the pedal sensor<\/a>. Without the possibility of using a trigger, and that it is limited to 25km\/h<\/p>\n

This option allows you to limit the kit<\/a> to 25km\/h<\/a> and remove the possibility of using the trigger.<\/p>\n

In order to be in conformity<\/a> with the European regulation<\/a> EN 15194 for the use of the electric motor kit on open road.<\/p>\n

Our kit without this option usually only works with thethrottle lever on the handlebars to manage the assistance.<\/div>\n

The trigger solution is more efficient when crossing and generally reduces fuel consumption.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

The choice of this option allows to detect when the rider pedals, in order to send a motor power chosen between 0 and 100% without any action on the trigger (like a classic electric Mountain Bikes (MTB) ). however it will not be possible to use the trigger.<\/p>\n

Operation of the flange kit.<\/h5>\n
The beam \/ controller \/ sensor assembly has a 2-position ON \/ OFF push button.<\/div>\n

-1- On the OFF position (when pushing the button).<\/div>\n
The controller is disconnected, no assistance is possible.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
-2-To the ON position (when the button is pulled).<\/div>\n
The sensor detects when the crankset turns, in order to send the power to the motor, the button which is a potentiometer, turns to have a sub-regulation between 0% and 100% of the power of the electric motor, in a more precise and faster way than a management by different modes that we find in our competitors.<\/div>\n

Note that a sensor on the wheel like a bike computer will limit the maximum speed of assistance to 25Km\/h.<\/div>\n
The trigger will not be activated if you choose the version with flange.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Price of the gear clamp option on new LIFT MTB kit :<\/strong> 130 euro (including the crankset sensor at 99 euro + the clamp at 30euro).<\/div>\n

Gear and trigger flange kit compatible with pedal sensors after June 2022.<\/p>\n

Composed of:<\/p>\n

-1- Bottom bracket sensor that detects the rotation of the bottom bracket and provides a predefined assistance by the button on the handlebar. (see the article on this subject: pedal sensor for LIFT MTB” motor<\/a><\/p>\n

-2- A speed sensor with a universal support to be fixed on the frame, a detection magnet to be fixed on the wheel, which allows to vir the speed of the bike.<\/p>\n

-3- Part that allows to suppress the use of the trigger, in order to respect the norms in force concerning the way of managing the assistance of the electric assisted bikes.<\/p>\n

– Note that the use of the kit with the throttle trigger or without speed limit is possible and will be allowed only for off road
