LIFT MTB sound level meter test

There were 3 generations of engines, the V1 which had a spur gear a little less quiet and the V2/ V3/ V4 with helical gears of last generation quieter.

Here is a video of the LIFT MTB V2 and V3 engines sound test.

  • The volume of sound can vary from one frame to another, because like a musical instrument, some frames reason more.

  • Regular lubrication of the motor gear system will limit the noise level.

  • A good insulation of the parts in contact with the frame with the help of the foams delivered in the kit, allow to decrease the sound volume and to have an even quieter engine.

  • The engine requires a break-in period to be even quieter.

0 dB

In general, the sound volume in use is between 60 and 65 Db.
